Board, paper and finishes

The box shell is made from rigid greyboard, typically 1000 to 1500 gsm (about 1.5 to 2.5 mm, or 0.06 to 0.1 in, thick), wrapped in your choice of printed art paper, soft-touch paper, textured paper or leatherette. Your logo can be added in gold or silver foil, embossed or debossed, or highlighted with spot UV. A dark box with a gold foil logo is a timeless choice; a soft-touch white box with a debossed logo gives a quiet, modern look.

Windows and display

How to measure your bottle

Common questions about fragrance boxes

What size box do I need for a 50 ml bottle? It depends on the bottle shape and cap, but a 50 ml bottle usually fits a box of about 70 × 50 × 130 mm (2.76 × 1.97 × 5.12 in). Send us your exact bottle size and we will confirm the box size on your proof.

Can one box size work for several fragrances? Yes. Many brands use one box size for their whole range and change only the colour, print or a label. This keeps the price per box down, because one set of tools is used for every scent.

Can the insert hold a bottle and a sample vial together? Yes. A foam or card insert can have two or more cut-outs, for example a full bottle and a travel spray or discovery vial.

Will the box protect the bottle in the post? A rigid box with a fitted foam insert protects a glass bottle far better than a folding carton. For direct-to-customer shipping, we still recommend a plain outer mailer around the box.

Can you print the fragrance notes inside the lid? Yes. The inside of the lid or doors can be printed with your brand story, the fragrance notes or a thank-you message.
